Liverpool)

• Overall plan build a small TPC prototype with
  GEM readout
• Design construction at Liverpool
• Electronics DAQ at Daresbury
• Test in new detector lab at Daresbury
• In-beam test at GANIL
• Charles-Edouard Demonchy (with Dave Seddon).
• Purchased GEMs from Fabio Sauli (CERN).
• Design will be finalised soon.
• JRA
• - Birmingham/Liverpool share 12 months RA
  (simulations particle tracking).
• - Daresbury receives 9.7 months manpower (test
  modules electronics/DAQ).
• Funding requests
• - Fits quite well with Santiago looking at
  different gases gt submitted a grant
• application to the Royal Society for a joint
  project last September 12k for 2
• years but was rejected
• - Will submit an EPSRC proposal to top up the EU
  money.
