paper will be due by class time Week 4. In this
2-3 page paper, you will note 2 or 3 of the
reading challenges you have. You will also
discuss at least 4 strategies you have adopted
(or are adopting) that help you read more
effectively (comprehension) and more efficiently
(speed).
21Student Comments
- The most helpful aspect of the course was
- the new knowledge I gained about HOW to read
(identifying topic, main points, etc.) - I learned to read faster and comprehend more.
- learning how to move my eyes without regressing
- increasing the reading speed in segments and not
in one large chunk - it described to me the thought process I need to
have while reading
22Student Comments
- The Speed Reading part
- really good to be able to monitor how I am
improving and to strengthen my reading to
increase as I read with the blue highlight - was very helpful in making me comprehend what I
was reading while going fast - forced me to learn how to read at a much faster
pace and find the important pieces of information
in the document
23Student Comments
- The Vocabulary part
- I really liked that we had to learn vocabulary.
I have used many vocab words in essays already. - was frustrating because it showed how little I
knew of the English language. After I got over
that aspect, I made myself see that at least I
was doing something about that. - The vocabulary could definitely be helpful in
the future. I know I have already seen and used
some of the words I learned through the WiseSoft
program. I think it will be even more helpful in
law school next year!
24Student Comments
- The least helpful aspect of this course was
- I honestly cant think of anything. I really
liked everything!
