Software quality assurance

• SQA Process for providing adequate assurance
  that the software products and processes in the
  project life cycle conform to their specified
  requirements and adhere to their established
  plans.
• SQA may make use of other supporting processes,
  such as verification, validation, joint reviews,
  audits problem resolution.

SQA process implementation

• A quality assurance process tailored to the
  project is established.
• The quality assurance process is coordinated with
  the related vv, joint review, and audit process.
• A plan for conducting the quality assurance
  process activities and tasks are developed,
  documented, implemented, and maintained for the
  life of the contract.

• The plan should include the following
• 1. Quality standards, methodologies, procedures,
  and tools.
• 2. Procedures for contract review and
  coordination
• 3. Procedures for identification, collection,
  filing, maintenance, and deposition of quality
  records
• 4. Resources, schedule, and responsibilities
• 5. VV, joint review, audit and problem resolution

SQA process implementation

• Scheduled and ongoing quality assurance
  activities and tasks are then executed.
• Records of quality assurance activities and tasks
  are made available to the acquirer as specified
  in the contract.
• Persons responsible for assuring compliance with
  the contract requirements have the organizational
  freedom, resources and authority to permit
  objective evaluations and to initiate, affect,
  and verify problem resolutions.

Software product assurance

• Assure that all plans required by the contract
  are documented, comply with the contract, are
  mutually consistent, and are being executed as
  required.
• Ensure that software products and related
  documents comply with the contract and adhere to
  the plans.
• In preparation for the delivery of software
  products, assure that contractual requirements
  are fully satisfied and that requirements are
  acceptable to the acquirer.

Software process assurance

• Assurance that those software life cycle
  processes (supply, development, operation,
  maintenance, and supporting process including
  quality assurance) employed for the project
  comply with the contractplans
• Assurance that the internal software engineering
  practices, development, test environments, and
  libraries comply with the contract

Software process assurance

• Applicable prime contract requirements are to be
  passed down to the subcontractor.
• The acquirer is provided the required the support
  in accordance with contract,negotiations plan.
• Software product process measurements are in
  accordance with established standards and
  procedures.
• The assigned staff has the skill and knowledge
  necessary to meet the requirements of the project
  and receive any necessary training.
