• Dry measures

• ½ cup
• 1/3 cup

Customary Measures

• Measuring spoons
• 1 Tablespoon
• 1 Teaspoon
• ½ Teaspoon
• ¼ Teaspoon

DRY INGREDIENTS

• 1. Hold the cup or spoon over waxed paper.
• 2. Fill the cup or spoon to the top and slightly
  overflowing. Do not pack the ingredients into
  the measuring utensil unless the recipe tells you
  to.
• 3. Use a straight edge spatula to level off the
  top of the cup or spoon.

LIQUID INGREDIENTS

• 1. Place the cup on a flat, level surface, such
  as a table or counter.
• 2. Slowly pour the liquid into the cup.
• 3. Check the measurement at eye level. To do
  this, bend over so that you can look straight
  through the side of the cup.
