Lightweight Fabrics

• Test sewing and serging on a scrap of fabric
• Change the needle if fabric gets snagged
• Begin sewing the seam ½ from the end of the
  fabric, then backstitch

• Seam finishes if serging is not a good option,
  use pinking sheers or zigzag the seam allowance
  together.
• Very sheer fabrics are best sewn using a French
  seam.
• If your fabric puckers, use tissue paper as a
  stabilizer over and under your fabric as you sew.
