Mars Corporation
Situation
Every other year Mars Corporation hosts an
internal awards and appreciation event for their
international sales team. The past two events
have taken place at the Air and Space Museum
where the event features pre-function cocktails,
main stage, seating and post awards dance night.
The event poses challenges due to the limited
amount of set up time allowed by the museum and
the intricate nature of the awards presentations.
Detailed pre-planning for all elements is
absolutely imperative for success of this event.

Starwood Hotels
Situation
Starwood Hotels Corporation hosts an annual
customer appreciation event, held every year on
the night of the Academy Awards. Each year a
local DC Starwood hotel is taken over and themed
out to represent each of the five Best Picture
nominees. A Vista has worked on the project for
the past eight years which is always a rushed
design and implementation feat as the nominations
are only announced three weeks before the event
takes place. The event welcomes the cream of the
DC crop of event planners, associations and
corporate planners that utilize Starwood
facilities.
C2 Creative has an existing relationship with
Frits Van Paasshen, Starwoods new CEO. Mr. Van
Paasshen was formerly at Coors, one of C2s
top-ten clients.

Republican Governors Association
Situation
For three years now A Vista has worked for the
RGA creating the environment for their Annual
Gala in Washington DC at the National Building
Museum and their Annual Meeting (which takes
place in various places throughout the country).
It is attended by the President and Vice
President and all the Republican Governors and
Senators and is seen as one of the top Republican
events every year. Each year the party wants to
portray a new and different view of itself this
has varied from highlighting Governors from
regions around the country to focusing on the
roots of the RGA and its vast history. This high
profile event comes with many issues that arise
from the necessary security and protocol
requirements.

beautiful environment for Mosaic Foundations
2003 Benefit Dinner. With few weeks to manage,
you expertly captured the vision I held in my
head, and brought it to life at the National
Building Museum. Ive received nothing but
