- Does the site contain a bibliography on the
author or sponsoring organization? - Is there contact information given -- email,
phone, or address?

- What is the stated purpose of the site?
- Is the site biased?
- Does the site contain words that try to persuade
rather than inform? - Is the site meant to educate or to sell a product?
5When?
- When was the site created, and when was it last
updated? - Is the information included in the site current?
6Where?
- Where does the information come from?
- Does the site contain a bibliography of where the
information was learned?
7Why?
- Why is the information useful?
- Does it answer your research question?
8Jerry-built
- Is the site professional?
- Is the site well-built?
- Do all the links work?
A page containing multiple spelling and
grammatical errors may have been thrown together.
9Note
The one exception to the rule is if the native
language of the web site author is not English.
In this case, spelling and grammar
inconsistencies should be overlooked.
