Provide the assets required to Chief of Naval
Air Training (CNATRA) ensuring qualified pilots
and flight officers are available to meet the
requirements of the Fleet Readiness Squadron
(FRS). Upgrade current training assets with new

- SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The T-34C aircraft is a single engine, two-place
(tandem seat), un-pressurized, low-wing,
monoplane manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft
Company, Wichita, Kansas. - The aircraft is powered by a PT6A-25 turbo-prop
engine, flat rated at 550 shaft horsepower
(shp), manufactured by Pratt Whitney of Canada.
- The mission of the T-34 aircraft assigned to the
Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA-145 at
NAS Whiting Field, 110 at NAS Corpus Christi) is
to provide primary flight training for student
aviators. - Other T-34 aircraft assigned to various satellite
sites are used for research development, test,
and evaluation (RDTE) of various projects range
clearance and coordination tactical strike
observations pilot proficiency and competitive

- SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- The T-44A and T-44C aircraft are twin-engine,
pressurized, fixed wing, five-place monoplanes
manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft Company,
Wichita, Kansas. - Aircraft are powered by two 550-shp PT6A-34B
turboprop engines, manufactured by Pratt
Whitney of Canada. The T-44A and T-44C aircraft
are identical in airframe and propulsion, but the
T-44C avionics have been upgraded to an
integrated digital cockpit. - The primary mission of the T-44 aircraft
assigned to the CNATRA is to train student

- TC-12s are militarized versions of the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) certified and
commercially manufactured Hawker Beechcraft
Corporation (HBC) King Air A200 - They are high-performance, fixed-wing,
pressurized aircraft, powered by twin Pratt
Whitney turboprop engines. - The USN/USAF C-12 operate from worldwide
locations to provide operational support for (1)
rapid, time-sensitive or high-priority movement
of personnel and cargo, (2) training pilots,
and/or (3) testing assets where needed. - The C-12 support roles include range clearance,
courier flights, medical evacuation and

- The T-39G, T-39N, and associated radar Ground
Based Training System are used for training USN,
USAF, and foreign national flight officers for
tactical aircrew assignments at CTW-6, NAS
Pensacola. - 2-JT-12Pratt-and Whitney Turbo Jet Engines
- A variant of the APG-66 radar system is used on
the T-39Ns for air-to-air and air-to-ground radar
training missions. - Aircraft inventory is currently 20, with 6 T-39G
and 14 T-39N aircraft (NAS Pensacola) - Aircraft planned service is through 2012

- The T-45 Goshawk aircraft is a derivative of
the British Aerospace Hawk. - It has two SJU-17 Navy Aircrew Common Ejection
Seats (NACES) in tandem with zero-zero capability
and is powered by a single Rolls-Royce (RR) F405
turbofan engine. - The T-45TS is a fully integrated training system
used for training officers in the Undergraduate
Jet Pilot Training (UJPT) Program, the officers
in the Undergraduate Military Flight Officer
(UMFO) Program, (NFO)/Undergraduate Military
Flight Officer (UMFO) programs. - The airframe is constructed primarily of aluminum
with a conventional frame/stringer/stiffener
