    puppy
  • Have you ever had the breed? If so, do you still
have it and if not, please explain why.
  • Are you aware of the puppies grooming needs?
  • Have you done any research on the breed?
  • Do you have an area that the puppy can be outside
and play without the danger of getting in the
    road? Is the area fenced?
  • If you work, what will you do with the pup during
    the day?
  • Do you have small children and if so, are you
aware that they will need to be instructed as to
the care and handling of the pup?
  • Why do you feel you could give this little one a
    safe, loving and responsible home?
  • If you rent or lease you home have you checked
with the landlord to make sure that it is alright
    to have a pet?

6
  • Please remember that any question that is ask of
you is only to make sure that you are aware of
the needs of the puppy and that you have thought
    it through.
  • I have had several families to tell me that they
are glad that I ask the questions, because it
    made them think.
  • Some families have realized that they were not
ready for the responsibility of a puppy at that
    time.
  • I want a happy puppy and a happy family.
  • I want my puppies to have a Forever home with
their new families. Not a home until the family
realizes that they dont have time or the new
    wears off the puppy.
  • PLEASE think about it, before making a decision.
  • Do you have the time, money and love to give to a
puppy. They deserve the best that they can get.
  • A puppy will give more than you could ever
believe but you have to be willing to give. This
is not a one sided thing.

7
  • With each puppy I try and send the following (not
    a promise, but I try)
  • Purina Puppy Care Packet
  • Puppy Care Booklet
  • Folder for the storage of your puppy records
  • AKC registration application
  • Copy of the parents pedigree
  • Health Record for puppy (this you will need to
    take to your vet)
  • Information on the Breed
  • CD
  • Contains pictures of the parents, puppy and
    parents pedigree
  • Sample pack of Purina Puppy Chow (Complete
    Nutrition type)
  • Treats (sample of Alpo Snaps) I call them their
    cookies
  • Hand towel that has been with the mom and
    littermates
  • Toys
  • Sales agreement (3 day health guarantee)

8
  • Notes to Remember
  • A puppy is a baby
  • Must handle with care
  • If small children, please monitor them to make
sure that they do not fall on the puppy or pick
it up and hurt it by dropping it or being to
    rough on it
  • Very Important Do not take you puppy to a pet
    store
  • It is very possible that you little one could get
a virus, disease, sickness, etc. if around
another dog or puppy that is sick or if someone
has handled a sick dog or pup and then touches
    you pup.
  • It is not very protected until it has had ALL
    of its vaccines.

9
  • Vet Visits
  • Very Important that you take your puppy for ALL
    of its vaccinations.
  • Do not put puppy on floor at vets office
  • Do not let people handle your puppy
  • You may have walked in with a happy, healthy
puppy, but you may be leaving with a time bomb
just waiting to go off the virus could be
starting to develop inside your puppy and you
    dont even know it
  • Make sure you have your vet number posted so that
you and others know who to call in case of an
    emergency

10
  • Puppies vet visit while at the kennel
  • I take the puppy to the vet and the puppy stays
in the vehicle until the vet is ready to check
    the puppies
  • I then take them in to the exam room
  • After their examination I take them back to the
    vehicle
  • No one touches them in the waiting room
  • I then go back in and pay the bill
  • This way, I feel that I have done all that I can
do to prevent the puppy from coming in contact
with other dogs, puppies and people.

11

    that, as well.
  • I will reply to you as soon as possible. I try

try and spend as much time as possible with the
    puppies.
  • If delivery is needed, then it may take a little
time for us to figure, just depends on the time I
    receive the request.
  • Weekend deliveries only.

12
  • Once it has been approved and you have received
    you delivery quote (if needed)
  • Two forms will be sent to you for your signature
  • Holding agreement
  • Delivery agreement (if needed)
  • There will be a deposit to hold the pup and the
delivery agreement (will need to be paid up front
before the puppy can leave from here).
  • I do not accept personal checks, but will accept
money orders, cashier checks and cash (possibly
    Paypal).

13
  • My concerns are two things
  • First, will the puppy have a happy, healthy,
loving, caring and responsible home to live in
    His/Her Forever home?
  • Is the puppy healthy, so that the family that is
getting him/her will have many years to love and
have him/her as a family member?
  • I do the best that I can to make sure that both
the puppy and the family will be very happy.

14
Best Wishes to you whether you get a puppy from
me or from someone else.Happy tails until our
trails meet again!
