integration networks across Ontario - Non-profit organization

people who live and work in the LHIN

16Whats new since April 1, 2007?
- LHINs have taken on responsibility for planning,
funding and integrating health services in our
area - Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will be
less involved in delivery of health care but will
provide overall direction and leadership for the
system - Providers will negotiate their funding agreements
with LHINs instead of with the Ministry of Health
and Long Term Care - Providers will resolve issues and challenges
directly with LHINs - Evolutionary changes as opposed to revolutionary
