  individuals or small groups.
• The industrial revolution was mainly brought
  about by the invention of new technology.
• Machines lead to greater efficiency and
  mass-production.
• Craft production could not compete with
  industrial production and many former crafts
  workers were forced to work in factories.
• As competition started to increase product design
  became a more important.
