• Internal desire to perform a particular task
• You are involved in doing something because you
  get satisfaction from doing it.
• When you are intrinsically motivated, you do not
  need incentives or punishments, because the
  activity itself is rewarding

  avoid punishment, please the teacher, or for some
  other reason that have very little to do with the
  task itself, we experience extrinsic motivation
