Let me introduce myself

• I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois.
• I received my bachelors degree from Bradley
  University and my masters degree from Illinois
  State University.
• I have been teaching at Armstrong for seven years.

My Family

• My husbands name is Brian.
• We have a son Anthony who 2 ½ years old and are
  expecting another baby boy in November.
• We also have a cocker spaniel named Haley.

• To provide a supportive and equal learning
  environment for all students.
• To explore and discover new things daily.
• To teach students to become responsible.
• To have fun!

Caught Being Good! When students are caught being

Reading

• Guided reading is a major part of reading
  instruction in the classroom.
• Students will participate in flexible reading
  groups.
• Self-Selected Reading (S.S.R.) is used daily in
  the classroom.

Spelling

• Spelling lists consist of five patterned words
  and five high frequency words.
• Sentence dictation is used weekly on tests.
• Spelling lists are sent home every Friday.

Math

• The math curriculum comes from Saxon Math.
• Students participate in Math Meeting every
  morning.
• Homework is to be completed at home. It is not
  mandatory that it be returned.

• The first grade science curriculum includes the
