RoomsCloak Room

• The Avcon cloak room is a room that people can
  bring there belongings to and pay a small fee to
  keep them stored there.
• When the people bring something they get a small
  sticker on there pass tag to show they have
  something stored there.
• When the belongings are put in the room they are
  stored in either boxs or rows small items will
  be placed in plastic bags with string attached to
  the handles to keep them together and attached to
  the string is a paper tag with the person ticket
  / sticker number.
• The room could be joined with another room
  example staff room or something to save on
  volunteers.

Cosplay Cosplay catwalk
After the cosplay skits, Have each character walk
on and pose for a moment allowing the cameras to
take pictures then exit the stage. Walking from
once side of the stage stop in the middle, pose
(twirl etc) then walk to the other side of the
stage exiting the stage. This will allow the
people to take photos of there characters and
allow the cosplayers to show off all there hard
work. Here Is a picture of a cosplay cat
walk. The red line is to show the photographers
and the blue lines are the entrance, pose spot
and exit, A black tape X on the stage could be
the guide for the pose spot.

ArtArtist Panel

• The artist poll is local Adelaide artist
  (pacifically chosen by Avcon staff team). Chosen
  either from past winners or Avcon team members
  recommendations.
• The panel is basically where artist sit answer
  questions, talk about there art. After the panel
  is over people can approach them and talk (ask
  for tips etc).

FoodStalls

• It has come to attention that there's not much
  variety of food / drinks at Avcon. I think it
  would be a good idea if people can set up stalls
  selling Japanese drinks, candy (other than pocky)
  and different food maybe have a snack food stall.
  There are vending machines but not very much
  variety.
• Food ideas-- Green tea / Ice teas- Japanese
  candy and chips- Asian sodas- cakes

Music

• Since its rock I though heck why not lets play
  Japanese rock music over the PA (not to loud).
  Then we can let people enjoy the music, I can get
  a few mixed cds of Asian music/game music not a
  problem.
• Also I though maybe have bands play in the room
  where the karaoke is held or maybe even have a
  mini concert outside or in the cosplay
  hall.Finding bands by advertising in music shops
  or post on forum about looking for bands to play
  at Avcon for free say its good publicity.

Entertainment

• Idea list - Judo demonstrationis to have a
  judo team do a demonstration of martial arts.
• - Bands (see music)
• - Manga readings. Where someone sits in a room
  and reads a story aloud kinda like a story tell
  for people who dont have time to read mangas

Judo Demonstration

• Another Idea is at Avcon to have a judo
  demonstration. As most Manga/Anime fighting is
  based on judo, Maybe it will be something fun for
  people to watch

Volunteers

• Avcon needs more volunteers, A way to get some
  Maybe on the Avcon flyers and posters put Avcon
  volunteers needed Also put on Avcon.com that were
  seeking new members to the Avcon team

Advertising

• We need to get more advertising! I was thinking
  maybe placing flyers not only in Shin Tokyo and
  other stores like that but maybe in china town,
  Its a good way to attract more people.
• Also print out some posters and have a few people
  from different areas and post them up!

Competitions

• I'm thinking this year We should have different
  categories
• Art Best rock picture, Best Picture overall,
  Maybe Best Fan art, Best own creation, Best hand
  drawn, Best Digital Drawn.
• Cosplay Best male, Best female, Best overall,
  Riskiest cosplay. Also maybe add in Best overall
  16 years and under, Best overall 17 years and
  older.

Promotional T-shirts Hoddies

• Fact is we need to get more stock! Every year we
  run short!
• We need better sizes S, M, L, XL
• Hoddies defiantly need more stock as its winter
  and people want there nice warm awesome Avcon
  hoddie.

Stalls

• I think we should have more than one room for
  stalls!
• Every yeah we have few stalls in one room not
  leaving much room for the companies stall set up
  If we could maybe switch to a larger room or have
  maybe 2 large rooms where we can allocate various
  stalls by alphabetical order
• We also need more variations of stalls maybe look
  into getting a candy stall as there's never much
  food at Avcon other than the sausages pocky and
  the vending machines.
• Maybe organise getting a stall selling candy,
  drink, chips
• We could go to china town Buy things on special
  and that are low priced then sell them with a
  10-20 profit on top if each item There for we
  cover what we spent and also leave money for
  Avcons other money needs.
