• Estar is used to describe temporary conditions
  (conditions that may change)

Estar is used to indicate

• Location

Ex. Estamos en la escuela.
We are in school.

• Physical Condition

Ex. Como estás?
Estoy enferma.
How are you? Im sick.

• Feelings

Ex. Josefina está nerviosa.
Josefina is nervous.
