5Admissions Getting Started
- Your first step is to gain admission to the
college by - completing the following steps
- Submit your application and fee.
- Find out if you need to take the placement test
and take it. - Submit official, sealed transcripts for high
school or GED and each college you have attended.
- Apply for Financial Aid (HOPE, scholarships,
federal student aid, etc) to determine your
eligibility, if you plan to seek assistance.
6Student ID Number
- Each student is provided a nine digit student ID
number beginning with 900. - Learn your student ID number to avoid any
possibility of identity theft through using your
social security number.
7Registration
- New Students who have submitted an application
and official transcripts before early
registration may be eligible for an early
registration appointment. - New Students who have submitted an application
after early registration and by the application
deadline may be eligible to register during open
registration sessions. - Fee payment You must pay all tuition and fees on
or before the deadline to avoid having your
schedule dropped.

- BANNERweb is the online portal allowing students
access to registering for classes. - You have a generated ID number, but you can
access BANNERweb via your Social Security Number. - All Students Can

10NO SHOW Policy
- Definition A NO SHOW is a student whose name
appears on a class roster and the student fails
to show up to class or fails to log in for an
online class. - Students participating in an online or telecourse
class must login to the course on the first class
day of the quarter (before midnight). - Reinstatement after a NO SHOW is based on space
availability AND pending instructor approval.
11Drop/Add
- Adding a class
- Students may add a course(s) to an existing
schedule during the first 7 calendar days of the
quarter. - Students may owe additional tuition and fees.
- Creating a new schedule
- Students who create a new schedule once classes
have started will be assessed a late registration
fee. This fee is not covered by Financial Aid.
This fee must be paid in full by the fee payment
deadline, or the schedule will be dropped.
12WITHDRAWALS
- Know CTCs withdrawal policy and deadlines!
- Get the withdrawal form no later than the 5th
week of the quarter (8TH week for WP/WF) in the
Registrars Office or Student Affairs Office on
your campus, or online at www.chattahoocheetech.ed
u. - Get instructors signatures.
- Read, sign, and date form.
- Return signed withdrawal form to the Registrars
Office or Student Affairs Office on your campus,
no later than the withdrawal deadline. - NOTE Withdrawing from a course or courses can
affect both your academic standing and your
financial aid eligibility.
13ATTENTION ! STOPPED ATTENDING
- If students stop attending class and do not
formally withdraw, they will receive a grade of
F on their transcripts. - This grade is permanently recorded on students
transcripts. The grade will not be removed even
if students retake the classes.
14Learning Support Courses
- Non-credit courses designed to assist students in
reading (RDG 0096, 0097, 0098), writing (ENG
0096, 0097, 0098), mathematics (MAT 0096, 0097),
and algebra (MAT 0098, 0099) skills - Students needing any 0096 course are not
eligible for the Federal Pell Grant - Required, based on test scores and program of
study - Must be enrolled in at least one Learning Support
class each quarter until all requirements are
met - May not withdraw from a Learning Support class
(if in only one) unless entire schedule is
dropped
15Registrars Office
- Maintains records for all students
- Students have a right to review and challenge the
information in their academic records. - Provides enrollment verifications, transcripts,
withdrawal forms, address changes, program
changes. - Application for graduation
- Chattahoochee Technical College must have written
and dated consent to send transcripts. - The Registrars Office requires 5 days to process
any request, such as enrollment verification and
transcripts. - You must have a Student ID for verification.
16FERPA(Family Education Rights Privacy Act)
- Allows student four rights
- To see information that the institution is
keeping on the student. - To request the amendment of the students records
that the student believes are inaccurate. - To consent to disclosure of the students
records. - To file a complaint with the FERPA
- office in Washington.

21REFUND PROCESS
- The request for refund must be submitted within
the first 3 days, in order to receive 100 refund
of tuition and registration fees. - After NO REFUNDS will be issued.
- Application fee is non-refundable.

36Work Ethics
- Work ethics grades are given each quarter for
credit courses and are designed to evaluate and
encourage good work habits. The work ethics
grades of 3, 2, 1, or 0 will be assigned and will
be displayed on the students official transcript
but will not affect GPA.
