Entering Data in the Software

• Teacher
• Stand alone With login, create yourself as
  teacher
• Network versions IT staff or PE district
  coordinator creates the teachers through manual
  entry of teachers or via an import
• For all Create teacher names via the Teacher
  icon with name and login
• Assign a security level
• Select school name

• Can create manually or via an import

• Add button
• Enter Name and click OK form is still visible
• Click Cancel when done
• Organization of classes important
• Elem, middle school, secondary all have different
  schemes for naming conventions

• Can create manually or via an import
• To create manually
• Click on the Students icon
• Add button
• Enter Name, user name and password, student ID,
  gender, grade, DOB.
• Click OK form is still visible
• Click Cancel when done
• Import of students and even teacher and class
  associations saves TIME.

Entering Data in the Software

• Can combine all three in one import if you have
  teacher and class associations for your students
  in your student database.
• Even if all you import are your students and you
  have to move them to their appropriate classes,
  this is preferable to manually entering one at a
  time.

Moving Students

• Will need to move students either one or a few at
  a time or entire classes.
• Manually within the program or re-import using
  same process
• FG results stay with the student regardless of
  school, teacher, or class associations

Creating Test Event

• Click on FITNESSGRAM icon
• Determine name for the event, assign date
• Select appropriate criteria for this test event
  (form type, Spanish)
• Select desired test items and order them
  according to your preference
• TEA is requiring 1 aerobic capacity, 1 body
  composition, curl-up, trunk lift, 1 upper body
  and 1 flexibility

Entering Test Scores

• Select the desired test event, click scores
  button
• Scores may be entered by student (work across the
  sheet)
• Scores may be entered by test item (work down a
  column)
• May change the order of the columns by changing
  the test item number from the Add FITNESSGRAM
  screen

Printing Reports

• FITNESSGRAM contains 21 report options
• Using the report wizard, you may elect to print
  by teacher, class, student, or by test event
• To print reports for a specific class for a
  specific test date, select FITNESSGRAM Related
• Today we will print the FITNESSGRAM student and
  parent reports plus long-term tracking and
  statistics reports

Student Entry of Scores

• Network versions can install student application
  in computer lab
• All data stored in the same database
• Password protected
• Teacher creates test event
• Students enter own scores and can print reports
• Teacher can view and edit data that has been
  entered by students

Sending FG Data to TEA

• Sending FG results to TEA takes place approx
  mid-May
• Use a specific export format from FG software
• Web-based, the upload site is hosted at TEA, not
  at the school or district level
• Stand alone customers Each teacher entering data
  needs to send their test results
• Small Network version One export file from the
  school
• District SQL version One export file from the
  district
• Will have detailed instructions and a training
  video available
