Dream Vacation..WHY??

• I grew up in Chelan, WAso I grew up with the
  dream winter vacation that most people would
  want.
• But my dreamgoes a little bit further.
• My dream vacation would be to stay in the Swedish
  ICE HOTEL

• With snow covered mountains and ice covered
  waters

Ice Hotel

• Jukkasjärvi (Meeting Place) in Sweden
• Built to highlight the Torneälven River
• World Heritage Site
• Began 1992
• Never meant to be a hotel

In 1989, a Japanese ice artist built a
cylinder-shape igloo that was meant as an
exhibition gallery. Work from French artist
Jannot Derid were displayed there. The Artic
Hall had several hundred visitors the first year,
and one night a few guests spent the night there
in their sleeping bags. The next morning they
were ecstatic about the experience. This
opened the doors for the idea of the Ice Hotel.

SUMMARY
Growing up in Chelan where we do have tons of
snow, my idea of a perfect winter vacation was a
little extreme. I had scene the Ice Hotel on a
television show and decided to research it more.
The experience, I believe would be an amazing
one, to stay in something entirely made of ice
which is also re-built each year. The cost of the
trip would be a little over 2500.00. This
includes a two night stay with all the amenities
of the hotel. All food and activates are
included in the package price. I hope that one
day I will be able to stay in the Ice Hotel and
take someone very special to me with me. It
would be an extraordinary experience.
