4Each e-mail you receive will give you a task.
All you have to do is complete the task using all
your ICT skills.
You have a full office suite of programs to use.
Your work is marked electronically as you make
progress.
5Saving and loading files, creating directories to
organise your work and perhaps renaming
files. Basically you use the File Manager to
organise your work.

7You might be asked to research using the search
engine, or perhaps go to a specific website for
some information. It would be useful to revise
your search techniques
8There are so many possibilities you might be
asked to correct an existing letter, or perhaps
complete some existing work or import an image
from your file manager.
9Again, so many possibilities you might be asked
to add formulae to some existing data or you may
have to import data from the internet. Your task
could also include creating appropriate graphs
using data that is e-mailed to you.
10What would you use the Database for?
From your recent work, you know how powerful
databases are. You can use them to sort, search
and present data. You could be asked to query a
database to produce a report
11You may be asked to fix or improvean existing
presentation. Your task could also include
automating the presentation or importing data
from a spreadsheet or database.
12So what can you do to prepare?
You can explore the example test materials see
the posters and online demonstrations
You will have the chance to take at least one
practice test. This will help you get used to
the test environment.
You should look over all your previous ICT work
think about the skills you now have.
