• The Australian Government (AGIMO), in
  collaboration with FaHCSIA, AHRC and Vision
  Australia.
• Web Accessibility team at Vision Australia have
  been commissioned to conduct independent research
  into the level of accessible support for the PDF
  format.

• Better understand the issues of inaccessibility
  of online content.
• Inform the policy position regarding the
  acceptability of making information available in
  the PDF format in light of the technological
  advancements of the PDF format and of assistive
  technologies.

• This will be met through three phases of the PDF
  Accessibility Review project
• Public Consultation
• Technical Testing
• User Experience Testing.

• Public Consultation has been completed and is
  currently being analysed
• Technical Testing is underway and is on course to
  be completed by the beginning of December
• User Experience Testing is planned for
  December/January
• Findings to be released in early 2010
