- Awarded Pathfinder Status for PFI/ICT Initiative
2003 - Contract Signed March 2004
- Scope
- All pupils from Year 5 to Year 11 in 180 Schools
- 1,500 Teachers
- Focus English, Mathematics, Science, Geography,
History, ICT, Modern Foreign Languages.
3- Our vision is of schools staffed by confident,
trained practitioners using classrooms equipped
with dependable, exciting technology to raise
attainment and encourage positive and independent
attitudes to learning. - The legacy for the future will be improved
standards of achievement, a collaborative and
skilled work force of teachers and support staff,
an outstanding pool of resources, skills and
knowledge and an appetite for learning.

Teachers It has made it easier to organise my
teaching. The pupils are more engaged in the
lessons Pupils The lessons are more fun. It
makes it easier for me to understand. I wish
all my lessons were like this.

- Involvement in the We-learn Project has had a
positive influence on the ethos and culture of
the school... Ofsted 2006 - Use of the We-learn Teacher Toolkits has led to
outstanding improvement in Teaching and Learning

- Communication
- Effective and frequent consultation with
stakeholders will lead to a better understanding
of what you are trying to achieve. - Engaging with the stakeholder to enable them to
have ownership of the shared vision - Change management
- How will teachers and pupils become competent
and confident users of any new technologies ? - Dont under estimate the challenge of culture
change within a school
