OSG Initial Release Goals

• Documented in OSG Doc 28
• Reproduce Grid3 baseline in ongoing heterogeneous
  grid
• Add Attribute-based Authorization capabilities
• Add Storage Services
• Establish sustainable growth model

• Core Grid3 services
• Access through http//www.opensciencegrid.org/OSG/
  
• GridCat and MonALISA services operational
• Webpages fleshing out
• Mailing lists starting up
• Metrics undecided
• New services
• VOMS attribute complications being worked out
• Multiple monitoring options remain. Not resolved

• First Release Candidate from ITB received
• Second Candidate expected next week
• Needs ties to OSG release requirements
• First production cache created (0.2.0)
• Installation and configuration instructions
  improving in conjunction with ITB.
• Initial versioning convention settled

• ITB functioning at Grid3 level
• Authentication and authorization instructions

• remain complex to configure properly

• Dropped from this software release
• Few service instances expected early summer

• Operations Model needs to be finalized and

• Not clear how the system will be automated and
  made more dynamic.
