- SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION VERIFICATION ( NOMINAL
LOAD CONFIGURATION) COMPLETE - OPEN BOX TESTS IN PROGRESS
- CAN BUS SW INVESTIGATION IN PROGRESS (WORKING
MEETING HELD ON 20-21/01/09 IN CGS WITH THE KIND
SUPPORT OF MR. LEBEDEV AND MR. KOUTSENKO) - OPEN BOX TEST MAJOR NCRs OPEN (2)
- See next slide for details
3PDS FM OPEN BOX TEST STATUS
- NCR-CGS-PDS-C-128 CPU RST BUTTON
- NC ITEM Can Bus I/F Board Assy
- NON CONFORMANCE Detected During Open box test
- Suspected cause of NC SW
- CLASS Major (AFE related)
- STATUS Open
- Using CPU RST command unwanted switch off of
second CAN BUS happens. - AMS and CGS verified that this issue is present
on all AMS USCM boards. - New SW version has been provided by AMS
collaboration to CGS and tested on PDS CAN BUS. - Results showing resolution of the issue have been
discussed with AMS collaboration during CGS
working meeting of 20-21/01/09 with the kind
support of Mr. Lebedev and Mr. Koutsenko. - Issue is considered tecnically solved. CGS to
call NRB with ASI and AMS for NCR closure.
4PDS FM OPEN BOX TEST STATUS
- NCR-CGS-PDS-C-129 CAN-BUS UNESPECTED SWITCH OFF
- NC ITEM Can Bus I/F Board Assy
- NON CONFORMANCE Detected During Open box test
- Suspected cause of NC SW, design
- CLASS Major (AFE related)
- STATUS Open
- CAN BUS board reset is caused by external noise
(ie monitors or power supplies switch on) - AMS and CGS verified that this issue is present
on all AMS USCM boards. - New SW version has been provided by AMS
collaboration to CGS and tested on PDS CAN BUS
together with AMS collaboration during CGS
working meeting of 20-21/01/09. - NCR is open and further unit testing activities
need to be adressed at NRB with AMS and ASI.
5PDS FM OPEN BOX TEST STATUS
- OPEN ISSUES RAISED DURING CGS WORKING MEETING OF
20-21/01/09. - The following items are considered not critical
for PDS performance but are under joint CGS-AMS
investigation being common to all AMS USCM design
and having possible relation with previously
mentioned NCR issues. - Activation Of The Signal S_Off During Power Down
Of The Board - This issue is common to all USCM boards. Not
critical for PDS but need to be adressed at
system level. - Activation Of The Crow_Bar Circuit During Power
On Phase - This issue is common to all USCM EM boards and
PDS CAN BUS FM , that is based on the PDS EM
design. Item is currently under discussion. - NOP CPU command inserted in SW
- This issue is related to NCR-CGS-PDS-C-120 that
is considered closed. AMS request further
investigation on this topic. Item is currently
under discussion.
6PDS FM INTEGRATION STATUS
- PDS FM IS UNDEGOING CAN BUS INVETIGATION TESTING.
UNIT IS 90 INTEGRATED, FINAL BOARDS CLOSURE AND
UNIT FINAL INTEGRATION AND CLOSURE SHALL BE
COMPLETED ONCE CAN BUS INVESTIGATION SHALL BE
COMPLETE AND CAN-BUS SW SHALL BE FINALLY LOADED
ON EPROMS.
7PDS EM MAGNETIC FIELD TEST _at_ CERN
- MAGNETIC FIELD TEST ON PDS EM (NOV 2008)
- PDS UNIT HAS BEEN TESTED _at_ CERN ON GOLIATH TEST
MAGNET TO ASSESS UNIT CAPABILITY TO WITHSTAND THE
FORESEEN FLIGHT FIELD - TEST FIELD IS A STRAIGHT ONE, WHILE THE FLIGHT
FIELD IS A COMPLEX SHAPED ONE (PICTURE OF UNIT
DURING Y AXIS TEST SHOWED)
8PDS EM MAGNETIC FIELD TEST _at_ CERN
- MAGNETIC FIELD TEST RESULTS EVALUATION
- SINGLE AXIS TEST LEVELS CONSERVATIVE TARGET HAVE
BEEN DEFINED AS THE MAXIMUM COMPONENT MAGNITUDE
(164 GAUSS) TO GUARANTE MARGINS AND AVOID COMPLEX
EVALUATION COMPONENT BY COMPONENT. - OBTAINED STABILITY LIMITS ARE ALWAYS HIGHER THAN
THE SINGLE WORST CASE COMPONENT FOR ALL THE
ELECTRONIC PARTS BUT ONLY FOR X DIR, THEY ARE
ALSO HIGHER THAN THE WORST MAGNITUDE. - NEXT TABLE SHOW STABILITY LIMITS VERIFIED BY TEST
WITH RESPECT TO THE FLIGHT WORST CASE (VALUES ARE
GAUSS)
9PDS EM MAGNETIC FIELD TEST _at_ CERN
- PDS MAGNETIC ANALYSIS IN PROGRESS
- ANALYTICAL SIMULATIONS ARE IN PROGRESS TO CONFIRM
PDS COMPLIANCE TO THE FLIGHT FIELD, BASED ON THE
CORRELATION WITH GOLIATH MAGNET TEST OF PDS EM
SINGLE PDS SECTION MODELLED BY FEM
10PDS FM ACCEPTANCE TEST CAMPAIGN AND PLAN
- THE ACCEPTANCE TEST PLAN IS CONFIRMED FROM LAST
TIM - TEST READINESS REVIEW (AT BOX CLOSURE) _at_ CGS
- FULL FUNCTIONAL TEST (FFT) _at_ CGS
- REDUCED FUNCTIONAL TEST AFTER PDS SHIPMENT TO
SERMS _at_SERMS - RANDOM VIBRATION TEST (3 AXES) _at_SERMS
- REDUCED FUNCTIONAL TEST AFTER RVT _at_SERMS
- TVT TEST (WITH REDUCED FUNCTIONAL TEST DURING
CYCLING) _at_SERMS - REDUCED FUNCTIONAL TEST AFTER TVT _at_SERMS
- EMC TEST _at_SERMS (TBC)
- FULL FUNCTIONAL TEST (FFT) _at_SERMS (TBC)
- TEST REVIEW BOARD _at_ SERMS (TBC)
11PDS FM SCHEDULE
