Alternate Assessment Change
  • The US Dept of Ed denied Ohios request to
    continue to offer districts waivers to count
    more than 1 of Alternate Assessments in their
    test results.
  • In previous years, Akron had up to 3.4 of all
    tests counted as Alternate Assessments.
  • This year, we were only allowed to count 1 as
    proficient
  • Scores not counted are demoted to basic (602
    scores were demoted from proficient to basic)
