  Testament
• With this lesson we continue to learn of the
  important and necessary work of an evangelist.
• The word must be preached to be heard and
  understood.

• -Should we have a located minister?
• -The support of a gospel preacher

• RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EVANGELIST
• Responsibility To Self
• -Must be given to godliness and purity,
  keeping the truth (I Tim 47,16 522 II Tim
  222)
• -Must be strong and bold in the truth of
  Jesus Christ (II Tim. 21 Tit. 215)

• RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN EVANGELIST
• Responsibility To The Brethren
• -Must help them remember Gods word, and
  commit to faithful men the teaching of it

• -Must help the erring back to truth (I Tim.
  617 II Tim. 225)

• -Luke was said to be located at Philippi for
  7-8 years
• -History suggests that Philip was at Caesarea
  for 20 years

• THE SUPPORT OF AN EVANGELIST
• The Bible supports support for preachers
• -An evangelist has the right to work to
  support himself (Acts 181-3)
• -An evangelist has the right to be supported
  from the church (I Cor. 94-14 II Cor. 118)

• The Bible supports support for preachers
• -Paul thanked Philippi for there support in
  the gospel (Phil. 13-5 410-16)
• -Even individual Christian can help support a
  preacher (Gal. 66-10 I Cor. 1617-18)

• We need to encourage men to be good faithful
  evangelists today
• We need men who will stand for truth and be
  active in sharing the will of God
• We need men who will rebuke error and help
  false teachers back to truth.
