About The Seal
This Seal is special because it was made in
1910 and it was a territory when it was made. The
rays in the sky represent the Northern Lights.
Also the train is for the railroads in Alaska.
Then the fish and seal represent the importance
of their fishing and wildlife.

About The Flag
These stars are the Big Dipper.
This star is theNorth Star!
The flag stands for different parts of Alaska.
First, the blue stands for the state flower. The
North Star is for Alaska's future. The dipper
represents the Great Bear symbolizing strength.

THE STATE FLOWER
The forget-me-not became the state flower in
1949.This flower can grow 5-12 inches. The one of
the best times of the year to see it is in
midsummer. These flowers flourish on the
territory of Denali National Park.

The Animals of Alaska
The Moose became the official land mammal in May
1, 1998. The Moose might be found in Unuk River
in the Southeast to the Arctic Slopes.
The Willow Ptarmigan is the state bird. This
bird's feathers changes colors from light brown
to snow white in winter for camouflage

This is the state sport because it is the best
way to travel also there is a race called The
Ididerod. But the bad part about it is that you
have to pay a lot of money to use the dogs for
mushing.

There are large deposits of Jade in Alaska also
there is a deposit so big that it filled a whole
mountain. The Jade is a very nice jewelry also
this gem is a jewelry that many women ware. And
did you know that some people think that the Jade
is only found in Asia. The Jade is a hope for
good health.
