Browser

• Lists clips that will be used in the project
• Double-click to load into Viewer
• Tabs in browser -- effects, other sequences
• Double-click sequence to open Timeline/Canvas
• Effects -- video/audio transitions, filters, and
  generators

Viewer

• Shows clip that is currently selected in the
  Browser
• Lets you set In/Out points
• Drag to Canvas or Timeline to place into movie
• Top left timebox shows duration of clip
• Top right timebox shows which frame is selected

Canvas

• View of the clip frame selected by the playhead
  in the Timeline
• Magnification of movie
• Upper-left duration box shows duration of entire
  movie
• Upper-right duration box shows frame currently
  selected by the playhead in the Timeline

• Drag clips from the Browser or Viewer to the
  Canvas -- a pop-up window comes up allowing you
  to
• Insert/Overwrite with transitions
• Insert/Overwrite without transitions
• Replace
• Fit to fill

Timeline

• Shows the layout/sequence of the video and audio
  clips
• Includes up to 99 video tracks and 99 audio
  tracks
• Audio tracks are split into left/right for true
  stereo sound control

Selection Tools

• Selection Selects individual items.
• Edit Selection Selects just the edit points
  inside your selection.
• Group Selection Selects whole clips or groups of
  whole clips.
• Range Selection Selects the area inside the
  selection marquee you draw. Select partial clips
  with this tool.

• Select Track Forward Selects all of the contents
  of the track after the selection point
• Select Track Backward Selects all of the
  contents of the tack before the selection point.
• Track Selection Selects the entire contents of
  a single track.
• Select all tracks forward Selects the contents
  of all tracks after the selection point.
• Select All Tracks Backward Selects the contents
  of all tracks before the selection point.

Edit tools

• Roll Roll Edit points
• Ripple Ripples edit points.
• Slip Slips a clip's In and Out points
• Slide Slides a clip in a sequence.
• Razor Blade Cuts a single clip into two
  sections
• Razor Blade all Cut clips on all tracks at the
  selection point into two sections.

View tools

• Zoom In
• Zoom Out
• Hand Moves the Timeline or image view from side
  to side.
• Video Scrub Hand Scrubs the thumbnail image
  displayed on Timeline Clips.

Image Modifiers

• Crop Crops the edges of an image in the Viewer
  or Canvas
• Distort Distorts a selection by click-dragging
  corner points.

Keyframe tools

• Pen Adds a keyframe
• Pen Delete Deletes a keyframe
• Pen Smooth Smooths a curve by adding Bezier
  handles to the selected keyframe.
