Dates and Times
  • Total duration 20 Oct 2008, Mon 13 Nov 2008,
    Thu
  • Week 1 (20 Oct 23 Oct)Afternoon papers at
    2.30pm sharp.First morning paper (excl. Econs)
    starts on Friday, 24/10.
  • Note
  • Economics (OSIE) paper20/10 in the morning at
    8am sharp at SCHOOL
  • French paper Venue is in school
  • Assembly times outside examination venue
  • Assemble about 30 minutes before the paper
    begins.
  • Most papers will be conducted in the school hall
    or AVA/Seminar Room.

Latecomers
  • Not Allowed
  • to leave the exam hall until after the first hour
    of the examination
  • if gt30 minutes late may or may not sit for
    papers at CPEs discretion
  • No make-up time to compensate for their lack of
    punctuality.

Identification and Seating Plans
  • Do
  • Produce NRIC/student pass/passport and entry
    proof for identification purposes when you report
    for examinations. VERY IMPORTANT
  • Look at seating plan for seat allocation for each
    paper, arranged by index numbers.

IES (Integrated Examinations System) Subjects
  • IES subjects include Combined Hum (2192/01) and
    all MT papers.
  • Check that particulars and subject information
    are printed correctly.
  • to paste the UPPER SECTION of barcode labels onto
    the answer booklet and return the other section
    to invigilators.
  • Not Allowed
  • Do NOT write name or index number on the answer
    booklet.

Use of dictionaries
  • Allowed
  • both printed and handheld electronic dictionaries
    for Paper 1 of MT papers.
  • monolingual dictionaries only
  • approved list of dictionaries only

Use of dictionaries
  • Not Allowed
  • any annotations on any of the pages.
  • No allowance will be made for candidates whose
    e-dictionaries malfunctioned during the exam.
  • Earpieces/ headphones are not permitted.
  • Not allowed to borrow dictionaries from other
    candidates during the examination for any reason.

Use of Scientific Calculators
  • calculators are allowed for all O-level subjects
    except 4017 Mathematics Paper 1.
  • Working condition of the calculator (incl. power
    supply) is the responsibility of the candidates.
  • Not allowed
  • Calculators must not be borrowed from other
    candidates in the course of the exam for any
    reason.
  • Calculator cases, instruction leaflets/instruction
    s and formulae are not allowed in the exam hall.

Miscellaneous
  • Do
  • For PMCAS, use only 2B pencils.
  • Tie scripts SECURELY with a STRING ONLY.
  • Strike off the wrong words.
  • Bring the necessary tools for each paper.
  • Write legibly at a decent font size.
  • Read the questions carefully and answer
    accordingly.
  • Do NOT
  • Staple the scripts pieces of scripts may be
    detached.
  • Use correction tape/fluid.
  • Tie the scripts too TIGHTLY tearing may occur.

  • Do
  • Have a haircut for boys
  • Pin/tie hair securely and neatly for girls
  • Wear uniform neatly in accordance to school rules
  • Do not put yourselves in a compromised position!
