You will find and state the dimensions of at
least two of the pyramids that you have found
information on from one of the websites. You will
tell which of the 3 pyramids that you are talking
about, and state the dimensions on it. You will
use these measurements to make the following
calculations
1. Area of the bases of the pyramids2.
Volume of the pyramids3. The lateral area of the
pyramids4. The ratio of the volumes, lateral
areas, sides and heights of the pyramids

(Khufu) Built c.2589-2566BC.
It was built by the Pharaoh Cheops to serve as a
necropolis after his death. Cheops was the second
king of the 4th dynasty of the ancient Egyptian
empire (about 2600 B.C.), his reign lasted 23
years.

Pyramid of Chephren (Khafre) Built
c.2558-2532BC
Built by the Pharaoh Chephren, it was intended to
become his grave for the eternity. Chephren (son
of Cheops) was the 4th king of the 4th dynasty
of the ancient Egyptian empire (about 2600
B.C.), his reign lasted about 25 years.

Pyramid of Mycerinus (Menkaure)
Built c. 2532-2504BC 
The photo shows the pyramid of Mycherinus between
the higher pyramid of Chephren on the right-hand
side and one of the little pyramids of the queens
on the extreme left-hand side.
The Pharaoh Mycherinus was king of the 4th
dynasty of the ancient Egyptian empire (about
2600 B.C.). He succeeded the Pharaoh Chephren,
his reign lasted 28 years.
