- Instead of a battery, your voice provides the
power - Failure of the electrical system has no bearing
on the phones - Primary battle telephone circuits
- Means of communication between selected battle
stations on a circuit - No dialing is necessary

- Second letter is a subdivision of the circuit
- All major circuits have an outlet on the bridge!
