• Describe accurately
• Ex The low-scoring 7th grade students
• Use statistics
• Ex 68 of 7th grade students score below the
  state average
• Incorporate pathos through anecdotes
• Without improved teaching techniques, these
  students will be under prepared for secondary
  math classes

• Make the connection with your organization.
• Are the needy in your area? (geographic or
  discipline)
• Is the problem one your program (outlined in Part
  I) can address?
