16Assessing Outcomes
- Consult the R.I.T.E. Institute (Dr. Chuck
Dziubans team) regarding outcome assessments for
the Web CT Classes. The team can help us develop
- Web site with manual of web guidelines and
examples of best practices - develop an assessment tool to gauge effectiveness
- Review Health Profession Accrediting Body
standards for compliance with course delivery
17Projected Outcomes
- Report to Health Professions Faculty, FCTL and
Course Development Web Services - Incorporate ACME Regional Healthcare Systems,
Inc. model into more Health Professions
department classes - Adoption of suggested Web Course guidelines and
best practices by the Health Professions
Department
18Implementation
- ACME is currently used in the HSA Program in
three undergrad classes and one graduate course - HSC 3640, HSC 4500, HSA 4193, and HSA 6108
- We would like to expand it beyond HSA to other
programs in the department - For example, have the HIM Program develop the
Medical Records Department of ACME and upload
sample medical records for use in courses
19Implementation
- We would also like to share the best practice
guidelines with faculty developing courses and
develop an assessment tool to gauge their
implementation and effectiveness
20Projected Implementation
- Summer 2003
- expanding ACME to HSA 3210
- Fall 2003
- expanding ACME to HSC 4564, HIM 4506, HIM 3006,
and HIM 4344, etc. - Develop manual of web guidelines and examples of
best practices - Develop an assessment tool to gauge effectiveness
of standard/ guidelines
