25
ISTC framework first Conclusion
  • Unprecedented Collaboration between Europe and
Russia in the field of in flight research for
    Aerothermodynamics and Thermal Protection gas
    surface interactions covering
  • Numerical activities
  • Windtunnel testing experimentation
  • Flight testing
  • Thanks to ISTC direct and personnel relation
ships could be build up providing the thrust
level and collaborative environment to exchange
information and develop together new ideas .
Examples of spin offs are Rad flight, Polyspheres
    and Aeroassist.

What to be improved
  • ISTC should provide funding for collaborateurs
allowing the interactions between scientists to
take place this building up of thrust between
scientists was the essence of the success of
    EXPERT
  • Shorter decision making process both for Regular
    and Partnership contracts
  • Organize more of the presently held workshop
events thereby harmonizing with other activities
and getting new ideass and contacts
