What is Retail Activity Database and Management
System?
  • The Retail Activity Database and Management
System (RAD) is a web enabled retail software
system developed by Advant Technologies Group
specifically with Comcast operations in mind
  • RAD is designed using best-of-breed technologies
Microsoft .NET, SQL Server database, Excel as the
front end, and Microsoft Extensions for Web
remoting . RAD is highly adaptive and can
interface with multiple systems and databases,
such as GetConnected, Digiterra, CSG, and ICOMS.

4
Who is using RAD?

by Steve Kochakian has been using RAD for over

    group with high ROI by
  • streamlining and automating various key retail
    processes, functions and reports
  • enabling a single, timely, unified and actionable

  • RAD pilot has also been installed in Southern CA
for the Non-Traditional Sales Group managed by
    Jim Adams.

5

Key BenefitsAssignments Management Interface
  • The tree structure of Assignments Management
Interface makes it easy to establish and monitor
    chain, store, representative, and other
    information.
  • The system maintains historical information by
conducting automatic code backups. This allows
for various types of trend analysis and reporting
    without interrupting current operations. For
example, its possible to jump into prior months
    and re-evaluate commissions, rebuild comparison
and performance reports, etc. These historical
assignments stay intact and independent of any
    changes.
  • RAD provides a dynamic way to reflect
multi-month assignment changes in one report.

Key Benefits Ranking and Coordination
Utility
  • The Ranking and Coordination tool allows for two
rank types Store and Field Rank. The Store Rank
can be established by the Retail Channel Manager
via RAD standard Assignments interface. The Store
Rank allows to control short term planning
activities and resources such as number of trips
    and store visits per month.
  • Unlike Store Ranking, the Field Ranking is a
product of actual sales performance. Given
division, the Ranking Utility evaluates Field
Ranks for each store using sales evaluation data
of the three prior months. Manager uses Field
Ranking to project future activities and make
sales predictions for the next three months.
  • The Ranking Utility generates two types of
reports Ranking Report and Coordination Map. The
Ranking Report contains Store and Field Ranks at
store level and other relevant sales performance
data. It also represents ranks at Sales
    Representative level of assignments.
  • The Coordination Map is a storage of Rank data on
monthly basis. It presents an integrated Rank
    information in convenient, comparative manner
along with the following factors Weekly Sales
Calls, Monthly Estimated Store Hours, Assigned
Doors, and Total Doors Ideal Headcount.

evaluation of each Reps personal activity. It
allows a manager to access and evaluate personal
Weekly and Daily Call Reports (DCRs).
  • This utility is empowered with multiple
    evaluation metrics.
  • This utility allows for consolidation of the
personal DCRs on monthly basis and provides with
    consolidated metrics and comparison graphs.
  • As part of RAD web integration, a manager can
send all archived DCR reports to all recipients.

to all recipients. All in private context, in one
    click.

68

Goal Planning Utility (cont.)
71
Key BenefitsGoal Planning Utility
  • RAD maintains all monthly assignments separately
so that it is always possible to re-evaluate
sales activity for prior months using latest
sales data. The Goal Planning utility allows a
manager to pre-build /set goals for incoming
    future assignments.
  • This utility provides extremely useful planning
options, such as full access to the Goal Board
for planning the Future Goals and Sales Activity
Reports basic report structure used for sales
    evaluation.
  • Using this utility, a manager can save a lot of
time while performing crucial steps for incoming
