- Established in 1992 by nearly thirty
organisations with the aim of assisting the
economic development of the region, by promoting
the new and already existing enterprises. - The decisions-making body is the 12 member Board
of the Foundation, while its operative
organisation is the Business Supporting Centre
which has been providing the day-to-day activity
in the offices located in 3 towns of Komarom
county from autumn 1993.

different authorities - To facilitate the establishment of enterprises

knowledge, to develop their business awareness

information regarding the entrepreneurial

- The region is the third most developed one in
Hungary - The industry historically plays an important role
- The development is fuelled by the IT and
automotive sectors mainly characterised thorough
foreign investors - Still exists a performance-gap between the export
oriented TNCs and the regions SMEs - The rate of the Hungarian suppliers is at 20
and is an important and hard task to move this
figure forward

decreased but this figure is within the bests in
Hungary - Despite the good vocational and educational
institutes there is a lack of work force in
certain technical jobs, while in some fields
