Whats the Doubling Cube?

• The doubling cube is a unique die instead of
  pips it has the numbers 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64.
• At the start of the backgammon game, the cube is
  centered, zeroed, with the side marked by 64
  facing up.

How to use the Doubling Cube in Backgammon

• To use the doubling cube, a player whose turn to
  roll the dice offers the other player to double
  (the initial stake per point upon which the
  backgammon game is played).

• The opponent can either accept or refuse the
  doubling cube
• If refuses drops out of the game and loses the
  initial stake
• If accepts the stake per point is doubled, the
  cube points up 2 and moves to his side.

• The player who accepted the double is now the
  owner of the cube.
• Only he/she can offer the other player to
  re-double at the same conditions.
• The accepter of the doubling cube is always the
  owner of the cube, who can offer a re-double, and
  so on, until the end of the backgammon game
