The mission of AveriStar Consulting is to help
telecommunications providers at all levels
successfully procure, engineer, implement, market
and sell hosted VoIP solutions. To accomplish
this mission, AveriStar Consulting has developed
tools and strategies that are dynamic by nature
and completely customized for each client. Our
commitment and focus is to provide a strategy and

reach goals, bringing together development,
engineering, operations, and sales for one
holistic organization.
3Company Ownership
AveriStar Consulting is solely owned and operated
by Mark and Matt Averi, who together have over 25
years of telecommunications experience. The Averi
Brothers have worked at 6 companies together over
the last 15 years and have established
relationships nationwide. Mark Averi has worked
in both Fortune 500 and start-up company
environments, and brings a wealth of
telecommunications sales experience to AveriStar.
Working for several early adopters of VoIP,
including Lucent and BroadSoft, Mark obtained the
knowledge and experience of selling and marketing
to the carrier, wholesale, and partner
environments. Marks dynamic and personal
approach to sales is unparalleled, and has earned
him the trust and respect of both colleagues and
customers alike. Matt Averi has held Senior
Systems Engineering roles at several companies
including Agilent, Lucent, and Broadsoft. Matt
has extensive experience installing and
provisioning the BroadSoft platform, in addition
to a wide range of access and CPE devices to
include Adtran, Polycom and Audiocodes products.
In addition to these roles, Matt has also
developed and conducted training to all types of
personnel, including engineers, sales and product
specialists.

Trunking is a great technology value, but can be
very challenging to design, provision and
integrate. Here is a quote from Tom Kershaw, vice
president of VoIP for Verisign, which provides an
integrated solution for service providers that
addresses local area network handoffs for SIP
trunking. Actually providing a SIP trunking
service is extremely complicated. Not only do
different versions of SIP vary, but some IP-PBXs
are H.323-based. There's a lot of hype around
this now, but the market is still a ways off.
