reduces the number of African American and others
who are inappropriately referred to special
education.
3Local Site Selection Criteria
- A site which the local chapter of The 100 Black
Men has a relationship - An elementary school
- Must have the right principal
- enthusiastically endorse the program concept
- has a good working relationship with his/her
staff and the community
4Objectives
- To implement an in-depth mentor training program
for a core group of mentors consisting of the 100
members who will also be advocates for school,
parents and student. - To develop partnerships with agencies and
institutions that add capacity for meeting
program goals and objectives.
