2
About Gods Promises
  • (2 Cor 120) For no matter how many promises God
has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so
through Him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the
    glory of God.

3
About Gods Promises
  • 1. Every promise of God is true (Yes) and firm
    (Amen)!

4
About Gods Promises
  • (2 Pet 14) He has given us His very great and
precious promises, so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature and escape the
corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5
About Gods Promises
  • 2. Gods promises are designed to strengthen us
and keep us pure from the worlds influences!

6
About Gods Promises
  • (Heb 1023) Let us hold unswervingly to the hope
we profess, for He who promised is faithful.

7
About Gods Promises
  • 3. Gods unswerving promises empowers us to be
    faithful (unswerving) toward Him!

8
Promise 1
  • (Josh 13) I will give you every place where you
set your foot, as I promised Moses.

9
Promise 1
  • Empowerment comes with obedience.
  • (Psa 375-6) Commit your way to the LORD trust
in Him and He will do this He will make your
righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of
your cause like the noonday sun.

10
Promise 1
  • Empowerment comes with obedience.
  • (Psa 8411) For the LORD God is a sun and shield
the LORD bestows favor and honor no good thing
does He withhold from those whose walk is
    blameless.

11
Promise 2
  • (Josh 15-6) No one will be able to stand up
against you all the days of your life. As I was
with Moses, so I will be with you I will never
    leave you nor forsake you

12
Promise 2
  • (Josh 15-6) Be strong and courageous, because
you will lead these people to inherit the land I
swore to their forefathers to give them.
  • (see also verse 9)

13
Promise 2
  • Victory comes with trust.
  • (Prov 35-6) Trust in the LORD with all your
heart and lean not on your own understanding in
all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make
    your paths straight.

14
Promise 2
  • Victory comes with trust.
  • (2 Cor 47-9) But we have this treasure in jars
of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is
from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on
every side, but not crushed perplexed, but not
in despair persecuted, but not abandoned struck
    down, but not destroyed.

15
Promise 3
  • Success comes with the Word of God.
  • (Josh 17-8) Be strong and very courageous. Be
careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave
you do not turn from it to the right or to the
    left

16
Promise 3
  • Success comes with the Word of God.
  • (Josh 17-8) that you may be successful
wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law
depart from your mouth meditate on it day and
    night

17
Promise 3
  • Success comes with the Word of God.
  • (Josh 17-8) so that you may be careful to do
everything written in it. Then you will be
    prosperous and successful.

18
Promise 3
  • Success comes with the Word of God.
  • (Psa 1199, 11) How can a young man keep his way
pure? By living according to Your wordI have
hidden Your Word in my heart that I might not sin
    against You.

19
Promise 3
  • Success comes with the Word of God.
  • (Heb 412) For the word of God is living and
active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit,
joints and marrow it judges the thoughts and
    attitudes of the heart.

20
So What Do We Do?
  • (Josh 110-11) So Joshua ordered the officers of
the people "Go through the camp and tell the
people, 'Get your supplies ready. Three days from
now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and
take possession of the land the LORD your God is
    giving you for your own.'"

21
So What Do We Do?
  • If we want victory, lets make it a point to
  • GET OUR MINDS READY
  • Ready to listen
  • Ready to be equipped
  • Ready to serve

22
So What Do We Do?
  • (Rom 1311-14) And do this, understanding the
present time. The hour has come for you to wake
up from your slumber, because our salvation is
nearer now than when we first believed. The night
is nearly over the day is almost here...

23
So What Do We Do?
  • (Rom 1311-14) ... So let us put aside the deeds
of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us
behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies
and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and
debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy

24
So What Do We Do?
  • (Rom 1311-14) Rather, clothe yourselves with
the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how
to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

25
So What Do We Do?
  • (Josh 112-15) But to the Reubenites, the
Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua
said, You are to help your brothers

26
So What Do We Do?
  • If we want victory, lets make it a point to
  • KEEP OURSELVES UNITED
  • One of the ploys of Satan is to divide Gods
people so as to crush them.

27
So What Do We Do?
  • (1 Pet 58) Be self-controlled and alert. Your
enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion
    looking for someone to devour.

28
So What Do We Do?
  • (Josh 116-18) Then they answered Joshua,
"Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and
wherever you send us we will go

29
So What Do We Do?
  • If we want victory, lets make it a point to
  • BE READY TO SAY YES TO GOD

30
So What Do We Do?
  • "Whatever You have commanded us, Lord,
  • we will do,
  • and wherever You send us, Lord, we will go!
