community-based initiatives, and overall talent
development for regional economies - Goal to prepare workers to take advantage of job
opportunities in economically vital industries
and sectors of the American economy. - Industry competency models are one of several
workforce solutions business and industry
proposed to communicate their skill needs.

- Goal To identify a set of foundation
competencies and cross-cutting industry-wide
technical competencies to drive workforce
investment and talent development to meet the
needs of high-growth industries. - In support of this workforce solution, ETA has
undertaken three key roles - Serving as a broker of information for competency
model resources - Promoting the development of industry competency
models and - Convening industry representatives to develop
models.
