WHAT IS AN IX GRADE?
  • An IX grade allows you to complete the missing
    part of the assessment for the module. It must
    be completed by the end of the next semester and
    your result will not be capped.
  • Please contact your Module co-ordinator for
    information on how to complete your assessment
    for a module with an IX grade.

WHAT IS A WX GRADE?
  • A WX grade allows you to repeat the module the
    next time its offered.
  • Your result will not be capped and you will not
    be charged a repeat fee.
  • Students with WX grades
  • Register from Tuesday 18 August 2009 onwards
    through
  • Programme Office - complete the registration form
    available on the

Extenuating Circumstances
  • The deadline for submission of extenuating
    circumstances applications for Semester 1 09/10
    is
  • 12.30 p.m. on Friday 8 January 2010.
  • Late applications will not be accepted.

Leave of Absence
  • You must apply, in advance of the period of
    leave, to either the BA or BSocSc Programme Board
    for permission to take a leave of absence for 1
    semester or for 1 year.
  • Apply in writing to the Programme Office
    ba_at_ucd.ie or bsocsc_at_ucd.ie.
  • You will be liable for fees if you take leave
    without permission.

Withdrawing from University
  • Continuing students who wish to withdraw from the
    University must complete a withdrawal form and
    return it, together with their student card, to
    the Programme Office.
  • You will be liable for fees if you stop attending
    but do not formally withdraw.

Transferring Programme
  • Application to transfer to Stage 1 of any
    undergraduate programme should be made through
    the CAO see www.cao.ie for information on CAO
    regulations and application procedure. It may be
    possible to transfer to another programme at the
    end of Semester 1 in Stage 1, provided all the
    transfer and entry requirements for that
    programme are met.
  • See www.ucd.ie/registry/admissions for the
    transfer policy.
  • Stage 2 students may apply to transfer to Stage 2
    of another programme at the end of Semester 1,
    provided all transfer and entry requirements are
    met.
  • See www.ucd.ie/registry/admissions for the
    transfer policy.
  • Application deadline for end of Semester 1
    transfer applications is 24th November, or the
    first Tuesday of July 2009 for end of Stage.
  • Late applications will not be considered.

Re-Entry
  • To Re-enter Stage 1 you should apply through the
    CAO www.cao.ie
  • To Re-enter Stage 2 or 3 you should apply through
    UCD Admissions Office by the first Tuesday of
    July of the year you wish to enter

  • Late applications will not be considered.

  • The deadline for submission of Applications for
    accreditation of prior learning for Semester 1 or
    2 modules has passed. The deadline was
  • 30 September 2009.
