Registering for ialc.biz

• Follow the link on the main menu
• Read and accept user agreement
• Fill in your details
• Choose your user preferences
• This can also be done later
• Wait to be accepted by an administrator
• For extended permissions, contact an
  administrator.

Navigation
This is what you will see when you log in to your
account. You will be able to view forums not
available to the public, and also change your
personal account settings.

• Your Profile Settings
• This is where you can change your user
  information, such as email and password.
• Here, you can add, change, or delete extra
  information about you, and choose how it is
  displayed.
• You can add contact information, website address,
  and other information.
• Adding extra information about you is completely
  optional, and you dont even need to let others
  see your email address
• You can also add an Avatar, which is a small
  picture that can be anything
• E.g. Company Logo, picture of yourself, etc.

• Private Messaging (PM)
• This works very much like an email account, and
  lets you keep conversations within this forum
  without the need for you to give a real email
  address.
• Depending on your individual permissions, you can
  also attach a file to your message.
• To send a PM, either enter the user, use the
  search user function, or click on the username
  when displayed on the site (e.g. on a forum
  post).
• When you receive a message, you can choose to be
  notified by email if you select this on your
  profile settings.

• When you log in to your account, you can also
  check latest posts by selecting one of the three
  links on the top right of the screen.
• View posts since last visit
• Catch up on the latest activity
• View your posts
• View unanswered posts
• Posts which have not had a reply yet.

Each forum can have various topics. Depending on
your permissions, you can create, or read topics
in a forum

• A topic contains a discussion between users,
  usually
• concerning the title of the topic.

Using the Forums (cont.)Posting a reply

• Posting a reply works in the same way as sending
  a private message.
• Enter the subject, then the message, and then an
  attachment (if you are allowed to)
• You can use styling, html, or simple text to
  achieve the style you want.
• Once you have posted a reply, you can always
  edit, or delete that reply if you find you have
  made a mistake
