• Harriet the Spy mainly takes place at her New
  York apartment and at her school. Although when
  she goes on her spy route she goes to Mrs..
  Agathin K. Plumbers house, Central Park, Dei
  Santis Grocery store, The Robinson's Duplex,
  Harrison Withers house, and a nearby
  luncheonette.

Harriet M. Welsh

• Harriet is a very, very nosy girl. She goes
  around spying on different people, including
  Friends, family, and even strangers. When she
  spies she brings along a note book. (She has
  filled up with some nasty stuff about friends and
  family. She doesnt like most of her fellow
  classmates which brings on a BIG problem.

Sport

• Sport is Harriets best friend. (And Harriets
  crush for a very, very long time.) He is a son
  of a writer and since his Mother left his dad
  and him. He pretty much plays the part of the
  mother. He pays the bills , he cooks dinner, And
  shops! He is very organized which sometimes
  makes Harriet mad. He is also very in to sports
  and when he grows up he wants to be a football
  player.

Ole Golly

• Ole Golly is Harriets Nurse and all time
  favorite person. They play games together, watch
  movies, eat dinner, etc. But that all is about
  to change when Ole Golly meets delivery man
  George Waldenstien. It all started when Harriet
  asks Ole Golly if she had a boyfriend. Ole Golly
  answer was terse, yes. That begins a bundle of
  curiosity for Harriet.

Janie

• Janie is Harriets other best friend, but
  sometimes they get into arguments. Janie is very
  stubborn especially when her mother tells her
  that she has to go to dancing school. Janie
  spends almost all day making experiments, and
  plans one day to blow up the world. But when
  Janie has something that she knows will ruin
  Harriet forever she doesnt even think twice. I
  would give her a 1 on the friendship scale.

Plot

• Harriet keeps a notebook about people she
  spies on, including her Classmates, family,
  teacher, and even her most favorite person Ole
  Golly. What happens when she acsidently drops
  her notebook and it falls into the wrong hands.
