  • To follow this presentation you need to log into
    the computer using YOUR Name and Password.
  • (User name last name first name up to 10
    letters. For example lantzkathr is my user
    name.)

Create a Backup
  • Two methods
  • - Second Floppy Disk
  • - KP Server (your G Drive)
  • Using one of these methods can reduce the worry
    of losing data.
  • Floppy Disks are very vulnerable to corruption,
    use your G Drive!

Password Protection
  • Click Setup, Password
  • Type a new password alpha numeric is best.
    Something you remember but that students and
    others would not figure out.

Leaving your computer?
  • Ever wanted to leave your classroom but didnt
    want to log out?
  • You can Lock your Integrade for a little
    protection!
  • Click Setup, Lock and Integrade can not be
    accessed without your password.

One Gradebook, One Year
  • Opening a new gradebook for each quarter is time
    consuming and unnecessary.
  • This allows you to set up your gradebook ONCE for
    the year (eg grading rules, classes, etc.)
  • To use one gradebook for the whole year follow
    these steps

One Gradebook, One Year (cont.)
  • Click Setup, Spreadsheets
  • Click New
  • Choose Attendance, Numeric, or Skill
  • Enter Name of Spreadsheet (Quarter)
  • Weighted or Total Points

Grade Calculation
  • Tasks are categorized by user
  • Homework, Test, Quiz, Participation, etc.
  • Calculation based on
  • Weighted Grades OR Total Points

Weighted Grades
  • Categories are assigned a percentage of the grade
    by you.
  • Example
  • HW 30, Quiz 30, Test 40
  • Student A earned 5/5 on HW, 95/100 on Test and
    35/40 on Quiz.
  • (5/5x0.3) (35/40x0.3) (95/100x0.4) 94

Total Points
  • Categorizes tasks but does not assign percentages
    for the categories.
  • Total Points Points Earned/Points Possible
  • For example Quiz 40 pts., Hw 5 pts., Test 100
    pts. Possible Points 145
  • Student A earned 130 points Grade 130/145 or
    89.6

Special Scores
  • The percent you put in will be calculated in the
    grade based on the highest possible score.
  • Select Setup, Grading Rules, Special Scores to
    set this up.

Display of Spreadsheets
  • Select Setup, then Display.
  • You are able to choose
  • How to show the date
  • Spell check
  • How the spreadsheet will look

Quick Fill Information/Sorting
  • Alphabetize your students by class
  • Click on the Grey Box labeled Student Name.
  • Choose Sort Students By Column
  • Auto-fill the column with the same score instead
    of typing it by hand!
  • Click on the grey box for the task, Choose Fill
    Column.
  • Enter the Score, Choose Yes I want to fill in the
    scores!

Tasks
  • Setting up New Tasks
  • CTRL N shows the New Task Screen
  • Enter the Title, Point Value, Task Type, Date
    Assigned Due Date.

Copying Tasks (within a quarter)
  • Select Tasks, then Copy Tasks.
  • Select the Period you want to copy from.
  • Then the Quarter you are in.
  • Check the boxes of the Tasks to be copied
  • Choose Raw Score and Click OK
  • Do this for each period

Copy from another Gradebook
  • If the task is in another gradebook on your disk
    or G Drive, you can copy from there also.
  • Select Tasks, then Import Tasks.
  • Select the gradebook you wish to copy from.

Oh the Students
  • To add a student to another class
  • Select Setup, Classes, then select the period you
    wish to change on the Left.
  • Click the tab Students and you can move
    students into a new class.
  • To remove a student from a class
  • Select the student in his/her current class,
    choose Student Status at bottom of screen.
  • Uncheck the student from the box and this will
    make the student inactive in the class. His/Her
    scores will remain but the student does not
    receive a grade for that period.
  • You will have to move the individual scores to
    the new period by hand.

  • Rosters
  • Whole gradebook
  • Parts of your gradebook based on due dates
  • Missing Tasks for students
  • Student Progress Report

Rosters
  • To Print Rosters
  • Have the class to be printed on the screen
  • Select Reports, Class Roster
  • Be sure to uncheck inactive students
  • Vertical lines, Title space, Tall rows depending
    on what you prefer
  • Click Setup, Pick your font size (Smaller more
    lines across the page larger easier to read)

Spreadsheets
  • To print your entire gradebook
  • Select Reports, Spreadsheet
  • Uncheck inactive students
  • Select Summary 1, 2 (Raw Score vs )
  • Separate Page for Task List?
  • Setup for Font Size (smaller less paper)
  • Next for Preview, Print if appropriate.

  • To print part of your gradebook
  • Select Reports, Student Progress
  • Uncheck inactive students,
  • Select Summary 1, 2 (Raw Score vs )
  • Same Page for Task List?
  • Enter dates From __ to___
  • Click Setup for Font Size (smaller less paper)
  • Next for Preview, Print if appropriate.

Missing Tasks
  • Print a list of what tasks students are missing
  • Have class you want to print on the screen
  • Select Reports, Missing Tasks
  • Uncheck inactive students,
  • One per page or several (save paper!)
  • Click Setup for font size
  • Click Next for preview
  • Select Print and repeat the process for each of
    your classes!

Student Progress
  • Print a quick progress report
  • Open the class the student is in
  • Select Reports, Student Progress
  • Select the student(s)
  • Have Task list, , Class Average as you choose
  • Click Missing Tasks
  • Select Parent/Teacher Signature if needed
  • Select Setup for font size
  • Select Next for a preview
  • Select Print for a paper copy

End of Quarter
  • At the end of each quarter to Export your grades
    comments you must
  • Select File, Export from Gradebook
  • Select the Quarter
  • Continue with Export if you receive a warning.
  • Continue and select where to save the export. (At
    KPM we export to our floppy disk which is
    provided for the year.)
  • Once export is complete, turn your disk in to
    Nikki.

Extras
  • Seating Charts
  • Select Seating Chart from the dropdown menu on
    right side of screen.
  • To create a new Chart (if not prompted to do so)
    click View, New Seating Chart
  • It will prompt you to enter the information about
    of desks, rows/columns, etc.
  • Select In Gradebook Order if you will arrange the
    students.
  • Select In Random Order if you want the program to
    assign kids to seats.
