Directors Profile S.N.Roy B.Tech (Hons) in
Electrical Engineering, 1965 Indian Institute of
Technology Kharagpur. Worked in IOC Refineries
Division, Guwahati Barauni from 1965 to 1978
and joined BHEL. Retired from BHEL Bhopal as
Executive Director in June, 2003. Expertise Er
ection, commissioning, operation and maintenance
of power plants. Biggest size handled is steam
turbine generator of 500 MW rating. Project
Management of Power Plants (Thermal, Hydro, Gas)
Quality management Headed BHEL Power Sector
Eastern Region for 4 years. Handled 10,000
people at BHEL, Bhopal, which is a manufacturing
set up for transformer, drive motor, traction
motor, hydro turbine, steam turbine,
switchgears. R.N.Bose BE, Electrical
engineering 1958 from Jadavpur University and
worked in DVC Electrical Commissioning from
1958- 1963. Joined International GE in 1963
worked in Turbine EC till 1974. Served BHEL
Power Sector services from 1974 till 1995 and
retired as GM-SAS, PSER Kolkata. Worked as
Turbine refurbishment consultant, Overhauling
consultant from 1995 till 2007. Expertise- Erec

for 14 years, GE Power Services for 4 years and
ICCL (OM) for 3 years. Pradip Sengupta A
Mechanical engineer with 19 years experience in
BHEL in the area of Steam Turbine TG cycle
commissioning, Performance Guarantee
Evaluation tests/audit/ improvement, Aux. power
measurement audit/ Optimisation/Energy
management of Power plants, Project management
of Large turnkey projects, Engineering
Engineering co-ordination, Procurement

Power plants. Bikas Chakrabarti A Mechanical
engineer with 42 years experience in the area
of OM at DVC Power Plants, BHEL Libya OM
assignment and commissioning of BHEL Boilers
and associated BOPs of various design and
capacities. Added to this he acquired
qualifications in Industrial Safety Engineering
worked as Regional safety manager in
BHEL. Amal Bhattacharia-A finance accounts
expert with 30 years of experience in the area
of finance management, audit, accounting of
various companies for financial management
