• Buy the textbook

• Student Survey
• Download the survey document from the Class Web
  site
• Complete the survey
• e-mail completed survey to Dr. Bell
• Remember to include the characters "234" in the
  subject line

• Access the List
• Read Dr. Bell's Posting that includes the
  assignment
• Post to the discussion list as per the assignment
  
• Read Chapter 1 and review the chapter questions
• Review the PowerPoint slide sets for the next
  class meeting. Then print these out at 6 per
  page.

• Install the Java JDK, TextPad, and Eclipse (in
  that order) as per the document "Installing
  Eclipse ver 1.4 Instructions" on the Web site
• Play around with Eclipse a bit
