ABOUT RIO.
Rio De Janeiro is a bustling city known for
having its own dance, carnivals and two famous
landmarks the sugarloaf mountain and the statue
of Christ The Redeemer. Downtown Rio is full very
expensive shops and only the richest of people in
the city can afford to live in the surrounding
houses and apartments. The city is located on
the east coast not far away from the capital,
Brasilia. As it is near the coast there are lots
of beaches and is surrounded by small fishing
communities. It is also home to over 11,000,000
people.

THE FOOTBALL CLUB
Maracana Stadium is the biggest football stadium
on the planet and has the capacity of 80,000 and
was built in 1950. It also holds the world record
for attendance in a world cup final against
Uruguay with 199,854. Unfortunately most of it is
now to unsafe to be used but is still known all
around the world.
