Birth

• Elizabeth I was born in 1533
• Elizabeth I was born on September 7, 1533 in
  Greenwich Palace
• Her father was disappointed that she was she was
  a girl because back then they did not have women
  for royalty

Early Childhood

• Elizabeth was taught by the best scholars in
  England
• She was very bright and excelled in learning
• Anne Boyle (Elizabeth's mother) was killed when
  Elizabeth was only three years old
• She was taught Latin, Greek, Spanish, French, and
  Welsh
• By the time she was 8 , she lost her mother and
  had three new step mothers

Middle Childhood

• When her father died, her step mother married a
  younger man in his late thirties
• Elizabeth and her servants went to live with the
  queen and her new husband
• Elizabeths step father Thomas Seymour had an
  unhealthy attraction to Elizabeth. The queen was
  concerned with his behavior and Elizabeth had to
  leave the household
• The queen gave birth to a daughter but did not
  survive the birth. This left Thomas the ability
  to seek Elizabeth's hand in marriage , but she
  turned him down

Middle childhood

• Thomas planned to make himself king by marrying
  Elizabeth, but his plan failed and he was
  arrested for treason
• At fifteen, Elizabeth had to defend herself of
  her innocence in the plot

Early Adult

• Mary's half sister locked Elizabeth in the Tower
  of London in March 1554
• Being in the tower was very terrifying for
  Elizabeth because so many including her own
  mother had never returned from the tower
• The lack of evidence against Elizabeth and the
  popularity allowed her to be released from the
  tower. She was then taken as prisoner to the
  Manor of Woodstock

• Elizabeths father had six wives.
• Hennerys third wife provided him with a prince.

Contributes to others

• Elizabeth took every one out of the dark ages
  from Queen Mary and led them to be a very rich
  country

Accomplishments

• Queen Elizabeth was the greatest Monarch of
  England
• Elizabeth was a gifted scholar and accomplished
  in speaking fluent Latin, Greek, French, Spanish,
  and Welsh
• She was a woman ruler in a mans world.
• She encouraged mew scientific thinking
• Also in Elizabeths reign she encouraged literacy

Why They Are a Hero

• Queen Elizabeth led the English to victory when
  the Spanish tried to attack England
• She made England one of the leaders in Europe
  during her reign

Why I Think Queen Elizabeth is a Hero

• When she came to power the country was very poor.
  When she died, the country was very rich and
  prosperous
• She was a strong leader and the people loved and
  respected her
• Thats why she is a great hero
