• Show delegates slides and phrases (quite quickly
  - GT!) they could be given individual
  whiteboards to write down the phrase in English
  when they think they know what it is.
• How did they recognise/work out what the phrase
  was?
• After they have identified the phrase correctly,
  they could be shown the list of languages and
  have to work out which is which.
• Other possible activities for pupils identify
  cognates and near cognates talk about other
  translations of the phrase ie Preparados/ Auf die
  Plätze which languages are similar to one
  another? which are the most different? etc
• Adapt if too difficult some pupils might not
  cope with so many examples so can reduce number
  of languages.
