Johnson MBA 2003 Fundraising
  • B.T. Nauslar and Scott Boyd
  • Co-Presidents for Fund Raising

2
Our Vision
  • We want to propel the Johnson School forward by
encouraging our classmates to give back
generously to a school that has given so much to
    each of us.
  • We also want to set an example and a high
standard for the classes that follow.

3
Our Motto
  • Do not wait for leaders. Do it alone, person to
    person.
  • --- Mother Theresa ---
  • Widen the Lens.
  • Johnson has meant something to all of us.
  • Take a holistic view of these past two years and
    give accordingly.

4

  • Pledge participation from 100 of the class
  • Raise 415K
  • 130 Tower Club members
  • Paid participation rate improves business school
    rankings

How to Help
  • Understand and enthusiastically support our class
    fund raising goals
  • Take personal responsibility for getting your
    friends to participate
  • Help encourage the mentality that our efforts now
are merely the first step in a lifelong process
    of giving
  • Pledge and join Tower Club

8
Fundraising 101
  • Pledge by completing a pledge card
  • Only amounts on completed pledge cards received
by graduation comprise the Class Gift pledged
  • The Class Gift is complete once the amount
pledged has been raised or at the 5-year mark,
    regardless of collections

9
Fundraising 101
  • Pledged amounts are held in strict confidence
  • There was a sliding scale the more you pledge,
the more time you have But now it is 5 years
    regardless.
  • Regular contributions are NOT required and no
immediate contributions are required at all

10
Key Metrics to Understand
  • Tower Club Members
  • Pledged Participation
  • Paid Participation
  • The Power of Matching

    Johnson, per se)
